Watch as the Heinz Brothers staff shows you the best method for lining your wire containers. Potting soil, fertilizing, plant selection and arrangements will be discussed.

Summer Container Planting Party!
Let the staff of Heinz Brothers Greenhouse help you create a beautiful flowering container for summer. The plant material used will be colorful, flowering and great for all summer long. Potting soil, fertilizer, plant material and container included in the material fee.

Program cost: $15.00: with additional materials fee, 10” container $25.00, 12” container $35.00, 14” container $45.00.

Vegetables in Containers!
Learn how to have a vegetable garden without the garden. Heinz Brothers will give you tips on planting, combinations and after care to be successful in container gardening.

Plant a patio vegetable garden!
Small outdoor space, but love fresh vegetables. Let Heinz Brothers help you plant up a patio pot with a few vegetables and learn how to care for them.
Program fee: $35, (includes plants, soil, support, and patio pot).

Vegetable Gardening Made Easy!
Do you want to grow your own fresh vegetables but don’t know where to start, then this class is for you! Learn the best and easiest way to start vegetables, grow and harvest.

Growing and Using Herbs fresh from the Garden!
Learn about the different uses of herbs in the garden. Soil preparation, plant selection, growing requirements and fertilization will be discussed.

Plant a patio herb garden!
Learn about different herbs and choose 5 to plant in a patio pot. Take home great information on how to use your fresh herbs in the kitchen.
Program fee: $35.00.

Plant your wire containers!
Bring in or purchase any wire container, whether a window box, hanging basket, tiered plant stand or anything you can think of. Heinz Brothers will teach you how to moss your planter and help you pick out plant material to finish off your masterpiece.

Program cost: $15.00 (includes moss, soil, fertilizer), plant material and wire container are an additional fee.

Plant up your own Water Garden Bowl.
Have a water feature close to home. No digging required! Glazed water bowls and water plants suitable for your bowl will be selected and planted. Choose from interesting and flowering water plants. Care and maintenance will be discussed for your water garden.

Program fee: $45.00, (includes water bowl, one floating water plant, and three potted water plants, soil and fertilizer)

Summer Pond Maintenance
Topics discussed will be controlling algae, fish and amphibian care/feeding and general clean up.
Program fee: $5.00.

Clay Pot People!
We will take various sizes of clay pots and piece them together to make a pot person for a windowsill or garden. Each child will then plant the head of the pot person to care for and watch hair grow.

Program Cost: $12.00.

Plant a pot for Mother’s Day!
Kids come and plant a pot with beautiful flowers for the women in your life this year. Plant material, container, soil and fertilizer are included in the program fee.
Program fee: $10.00.

Kids plant your own Vegetables
Each child will plant 4 different vegetables in one container. Kids will be more eager to eat the vegetables they grow and care for.

Program fee: $ 15.00.

Children’s Herb Class
Each child will learn about fun and different herbs that will fit their taste buds. Each child will plant 3 herbs in a container to take home and enjoy. Care and upkeep will be discussed. Program fee: $15.00.
Sunday, May 18, 2008, 2-2:30pm.

4th of July Planter for Kids
Kids come paint your own red, white and blue masterpiece on a pot and we will help you fill the pot with a red, white or blue flowering plants.

Program fee: $15.00.
